I’ve always been a bit OCD, but I really like to keep everything in my models well organized. That way, I can quickly and easily edit the parts and pieces in my model.
SketchUp provides you a great tool to help you do this in the outliner.
The outliner is a tool that you can find in your tray that allows you to manage all of your groups and components.
It allows you to nest groups and components for easy management, as well as allowing you to quickly hide and unhide individual objects.
