In this tutorial, you will learn how to use imperial units as input in Grasshopper. We will create a component that allows you to convert feet and inches into the decimal numbers that Grasshopper prefers, regardless of your input format. You’ll also learn how to create a Grasshopper Cluster and integrate it with other components, so you can use it in other files.
In the extended tutorial, we are going to create an Imperial Unit Decimal Generator! Instead of typing stuff, just tweak the input sliders and get the values you want! This script involves many Stream Filter components as it has plenty of if-else statements that will teach how to merge a set of conditions and decide which action to take based on those conditions.
