Brazilian architect Angelo Bucci presents the work of SPBR, the firm he founded in 2003, including House in Ubatuba: a remarkable reinforced concrete house suspended on three columns that overlooks the bay of Ubatuba. For the fourth annual Kenneth Frampton Endowed Lecture, this and other projects are considered within the legacy of Paulo Mendes da Rocha and João Batista Vilanova Artigas in Bucci’s home city of São Paulo.
