Kaiyi Wong creates layered lantern-like light made out of steel

Watch Malaysian-based artist and designer Kaiyi Wong and his team build Composure, a sculptural light for his recent exhibition What Holds The Glow.

Made from layers of steel, the lamp is stripped down to a core lantern-like structure. The design draws from the artist’s Malaysian Chinese heritage and explores how cultural memory fades across generations.
