Since 1996, architect Jürgen Mayer H. (based in Berlin, Germany) has explored architecture as a “trailer” for a possible future of urban activation, referencing data patterns as source material for a new production of space at a range of scales. His current work spans from installations to urban interventions and infrastructure. His lecture will trace the design process in his projects from 2-D found objects to spatially complex structures, including Joh3, a new housing project in Berlin; in Metropol Parasol in Seville, Spain; and ongoing infrastructure projects in Georgia.
