Jeffrey Kipnis opens the discussion with a historical survey of Rem Koolhaas. He then shows a short documentary on the composer Igor Stravinsky entitled Keeping Score, and notes how Hernan Diaz Alonso shares Stravinsky’s interest in challenging the politeness of high society. Diaz Alonso discusses his work in terms of his relationship to his early mentor Enrique Miralles, and the impact of the work of Greg Lynn.
