Jeffrey Inaba – Seeing Where It Goes

Lecture date: 2006-11-21

Programme, lab’, and magazine. By playing different roles product and graphics consultant, building designer, teacher, content provider, editor Inaba tries to build up a repertoire of work to get more work. Rather than trying to define a long-term project, he’s seeing where it goes, finding out when things seem to have serious value and when they don’t.

Jeffrey Inaba’s firm INABA is involved in strategic planning, cultural research, urban design and architecture. Recent clients include the New Museum of Contemporary Art, University of Miami and Coca Cola. He is the programme director of the Southern California Institute for Future Initiatives the SCI-Arc postgraduate studies programme. He directs C-Lab, an architecture and communications laboratory at Columbia University. C-Lab produces Volume magazine in collaboration with Archis and AMO. See www.volumeproject.org.
