In Conversation with Bijoy Jain

In conversation | MPavilion designer Bijoy Jain

Friday 7 October, 2016
Melbourne School of Design, Baldwin Spencer Theatre

Celebrated Indian architect Bijoy Jain will join students and staff of the Faculty of Architecture, Building and Planning for an intimate discussion of his work, philosophy and architecture with Donald Bates, Chair of Architectural Design (Melbourne School of Design).

Attendees were encouraged to join the discussion and the session functioned as an informal, free-flowing conversation between students, staff and Bijoy Jain.

About Bijoy Jain:

The founder of sustainable architecture firm Studio Mumbai, Jain studied and worked in architecture in the United States before returning to India in 1995 to establish his practice. Jain has won many awards for his work, including the Grande Medaille d’Or from the Academie D’Architecture in Paris (2014), and was commissioned by the Naomi Milgrom Foundation to design this year’s annual MPavilion in Melbourne.
