In conversation: Maristella Casciato, Tom Avermaete, Yto Barrada & Takashi Homma

In 2013 the CCA commissioned photographers Yto Barrada and Takashi Homma to go to Casablanca and Chandigarh, respectively, and capture these cities in their modern incarnations. Their work is presented in the exhibition How architects, experts, politicians, international agencies, and citizens negotiate modern planning: Casablanca Chandigarh.

Join us on the opening day of the exhibition for a conversation with them and curators Maristella Casciato and Tom Avermaete. They will discuss how inhabitants take ownership of the city and urban life in Casablanca and Chandigarh. The conversations will be moderated by Will Straw, PhD, Director, McGill Institute for the Study of Canada, McGill University.
