Tom with Satori Graphics back with another graphic design Illustrator tutorial; today a tutorial based around Illustrator brush settings for hand lettering. I use a Wacom tablet for my hand lettering and I do get asked a lot ‘what brush settings do you use for your hand lettering with a Wacom?’ – And so in this video I have presented to you what brush Wacom brush settings I use, and we take a look at some specific settings such as the pressure brush setting for hand lettering.
Hand lettering is great fun and it can be both relaxing and rewarding once you get into it. But digital hand lettering is different and you need to understand the different brush settings, how to use them and what they do exactly. In this tutorial I aim to show you these points as well as a few other key aspects of using a Wacom for hand lettering in Illustrator.
I do focus on the pressure setting quite a bit in this tutorial, and that is because I feel it will be the most useful setting in the brush settings for hand lettering; or at least I have personally found the pressure setting to be most beneficial out of the entire adjustable settings that are presented to us by Illustrator to use on a Wacom.
