Jorge Otero-Pailos, director of GSAPP’s Historic Preservation Program, speaks with Frank Matero in advance of his Spring 2017 lecture at the school. Frank Matero is currently chair of the Graduate Program in Historic Preservation and director of the Architectural Conservation Laboratory at the University of Pennsylvania. They discuss conservation’s relationship to climate change and Matero’s remarkable work conserving international monuments and architecture.
