Hadi Mirmiran – A New Movement in the Architectural Tradition of Iran

Hadi Mirmiran discusses the ways in which a new movement in contemporary Iranian architecture intersects with the continuity of the nation’s rich architectural heritage.

Hadi Mirmiran’s career can be categorized in three phases: from 1968 to 1979 he was the chief architect in the architectural workshop of the National Iranian Steel Company, Town Planning Department; from 1980 to 1988 he was the chief architect in the design department of the Khanesazi-e-Iran Company and the chief architect in the design department of Isfahans General Office of Housing and Urban Development; and, from 1988 he has been the director and the principal architect and manager of Naghsh-e-Jahan Pars Consulting Engineers.
