NAKED are Agnes Gryczkowska and Alexander Johnston, a London-based duo whose work engages with noise, industrial, experimental and extreme forms of electronic music. Their new EP for Halcyon Veil – Total Power Exchange – is a distorted and violent noise transgression, rooted in socio-political confrontation. Total Power Exchange speaks of power, freedom and alternating states of control – of releasing one’s own mind and body from the controlling mechanisms that have been imposed on them. This year has seen NAKED release two new music videos and an alternative national anthem for DAZED which followed the release of their debut album Zone and a collaboration with Mykki Blanco.

Gilbert & George met in 1967 at St Martins School of Art. A living sculpture, and by now living icons for successive generations of artists in Britain and abroad, they were awarded the Turner Prize in 1986 and represented the UK at the Venice Biennale in 2005. Their retrospective, Major Exhibition at Tate Modern in 2007 was also exhibited around Europe and America. Their art transcends cultural boundaries and is shown in many countries, with groundbreaking shows in Russia and China. They live and work in London.
