I found some genuinely questionable designs online, so naturally I decided to redesign them — but simply making them look better wasn’t enough. The challenge was to give each design a stronger, more original creative concept while still solving the same communication problem.
In this video, I redesign everything from a fish burger advert turned into a Tinder-inspired campaign, to an ugly shoe promotion transformed into a receipt-style fashion ad, criminal typefaces placed into a police lineup, a horror poster built around an emergency exit sign, and an album cover reimagined through Google search. Some work better than others — and that’s part of the experiment.
