Daniel Libeskind – Out//Of=History

Lecture date: 1997-04-24

Daniel Libeskind discusses three different museum projects that are at three different stages: the Felix Nussbaum Museum in Osnabruck (in construction); the winning scheme for the V&A extension in London (under attack by the British media while still at the design stage); and the Jewish Museum extension of the Berlin Museum (nearing completion). Following his many years as a theorist and teacher – he was an AA Unit Master from 1975-77 – Daniel Libeskind’s practice has built up a reputation for a multidisciplinary approach with projects extending from major cultural institutions to landscape and design projects, installations and exhibitions.

Libeskind has been the subject of numerous exhibitions, monographs and texts, and has exhibited extensively in Europe, Israel, Japan and the US.’
