Christopher Glaisek and Bruce Kuwabara on Waterfront Toronto

As vice president of planning and design for WATERFRONToronto, Christopher Glaisek has led the corporation, which is charged with overseeing the renewal of the city’s waterfront, through several award-winning phases of Planning and development to transform an extensive (800 hectares) brownfield site into mixed-use communities and public spaces. His previous positions include vice president of planning, design, and development for the Lower Manhattan Development Corporation, founded in the wake of September 11, 2001, and other planning roles in New York. Bruce Kuwabara is a founding partner of KPMB Architects a leading Toronto-based firm with a reputation for design excellence. Among Kuwabara’s ongoing projects are several academic and cultural institutions. He is the Chair of WATERFRONToronto’s Design Review Panel, and as of late 2013, the Chair of the Board of the Canadian Centre for Architecture.
