Brooklyn-based boutique Calico Wallpaper joined forces with lighting designer Lindsey Adelman for this new film from photographer and director Lauren Coleman. Experimenting with the effect of salt crystals on different surfaces, the resulting growth and corrosion influenced a new lighting collection from Adelman, which is reflected in the film’s fluid footage. These extraordinary scenes were shot through a microscope and subsequently projected onto the twitching bodies of the film’s performers. The patterns developed by the collaborators were surfaced during an exhibition of aquatic-inspired murals shown at Salone del Mobile in April.
