Artist Worlds: Primal Tourism was a two-part event focused on the interrelationship of ecology, sustainability and advancing technologies that took place in February and March 2021 as an artist talk and livestreamed multiplayer VR event with artist Jakob Kudsk Steensen, Rindon Johnson, Alenda Chang and Mikkel Rosengaardm located in a new version of Steensen’s 2016 work Primal Tourism. This film combines the two, offering an immersive insight into Kudsk Steensen’s practice in conversation with nature and his collaborators.
Artist Worlds is an ongoing series of commissions and events that support artistic practices that engage with simulated realities, immersive story-telling and virtual world-building that invites audiences into these worlds to explore and offer insights into these advancing technologies and associated practices, processes and ideas.
