Aaron Betsky – Learning from the Lowlands and Other Landscrapers

Lecture date: 2003-01-28

Aaron Betsky discusses why we should look at Dutch architecture as a source of inspiration. He cites several examples of what the Lowlanders can teach us: social housing that works, the sense of an artificial landscape, the use of infrastructure to make communal space, the ability to create complex and attractive buildings.

Aaron Betsky is Director of the Netherlands Architecture Institute and author of Landscrapers and The Houses of Max Palevsky.
