3D Basecamp 2016 – Lighting Design using SketchUp

Daniel Brown shows how SketchUp was an integral part in the coordination and design of custom lighting fixtures for a few projects that involve lighting the interior and exterior of churches and residential spaces. He shows examples that begin with 360 photography of existing conditions, designing the basic spatial layout and showing workflow techniques to visualize lighting in SketchUp. Dan also shows how certain plugins were helpful in creating lighting mockups, showing light distribution and in creating photorealistic renderings. Lastly, he showcases how wiring and coordination drawings were done in LayOut.
