Jemima Stehli recontextualizes her recent work within her broader working practice, describing the formal construction of her images, the perfomative aspects of her work, and her interest in self-portraiture. Stehli’s photographs deal with the issues relating to the depiction of the naked female. Her projects include a series of photographs of her, naked, with various eminent critics, curators and writers – in another series she recreates works of art by famous twentieth-century men. She has exhibited widely throughout Britain and Europe.
