Game developer Blue Hood Games has released a survival game named Europe Heatwave Simulator, where players need to outlast a 14-day heatwave without air conditioning in an apartment in Paris.
Playable on the Steam platform, which is downloadable for Windows desktops, Europe Heatwave Simulator challenges players to survive a fortnight in a Parisian apartment in 42-degree Celsius heat.
In the game, players navigate life without air conditioning, tending to the needs of their overheating body by keeping cool, hydrated and fed, while also working a remote job from a laptop on the dining table.
Blue Hood Games described Europe Heatwave Simulator as a “dark humour” game centred on “the crushing reality of modern European summers without air conditioning”.
