Look Inside the Serpentine Pavilion 2026: LANZA atelier | Serpentine

LANZA atelier co-founders Isabel Abascal and Alessandro Arienzo introduce their recently unveiled Serpentine Pavilion, a serpentine, the first to use brick.

The Mexico City-based architecture studio took inspiration from serpentine or crinkle-crankle walls, an architectural feature that requires fewer bricks than a straight wall. They reimagined it for the Pavilion, where single-brick columns leave spaces for visitors to peek outside and for sunlight to sneak through.

Visit the Pavilion in Kensington Gardens from 6 June – 25 October 2026.
