In this exclusive video, Dezeen unveils this year’s Serpentine Pavilion, designed by Mexican studio Lanza Atelier.
Titled ‘a serpentine’, the pavilion draws on crinkle-crankle walls, also known as serpentine walls – a type of brick wall characterised by alternating curves reminiscent of the movement of a snake. Known for working with local materials, Lanza Atelier used Sienna red bricks, which are among the most widely used bricks in the UK.
The pavilion opens to the public on 6 June, and will run until 25 October 2026 at Serpentine in London, UK. The structure will also play host to a programme of music, dance and artistic performances throughout the summer.
