What does it mean for a family home to make life feel simpler, rather than more complicated? Northcote House by Olaver Architecture responds with a design shaped by function, calm and a more deliberate way of living.
Rather than relying on one large open-plan room, the house separates daily life into smaller, more defined spaces. A compact and hardworking plan allows the home to do more with less, creating a footprint that feels both efficient and generous.
Light is carefully managed, while shou sugi ban timber, tactile materials and softened curves give the house warmth and depth. The result is a home that feels calm, rich and simpler for everyday family life.
