Can an architectural home be achieved on a tight budget? At Fisherman’s Walk in Barwon Heads, this coastal family house was shaped by restraint, where clarity, efficiency and first principles guided every decision.
Set on a suburban flood-prone site, the home stretches east to west, prioritising northern light and a strong connection to the garden. Its simple form resists spectacle, offering instead a timeless presence that feels neither new nor old.
Inside, warm, robust materials and a consistent structural grid bring order and calm. Recycled brick and Tasmanian oak balance economy with longevity, creating a home designed not to impress, but to be lived in. It is an architecture of enough.
