On October 25, 2025, the Fondation Cartier pour l’Art Contemporain opened its new Paris location with Exposition Générale, an inaugural show drawn from its own collection. Housed in a Haussmannian building once home to the Grands Magasins du Louvre and redesigned by Jean Nouvel, the space features five mobile platforms that redefine the traditional exhibition format. These mechanisms aim to accommodate all forms of visual expression, including photography, cinema, the performing arts, science, and craft, within a space that resonates with the urban life of Paris and engage with questions of urban planning and ecology. The occasion was also marked by a visit from the ArchDaily team, who experienced the Fondation’s renewed vision firsthand with Beatrice Grenier, the director of International Programs.
