Thai artist Pinaree Sanpitak has spent decades developing a visual language that explores the body’s symbolic potential, working across painting, sculpture, installations, and interactive experiences to investigate femininity and womanhood, spirituality and transformation. First gaining international recognition for her ‘Breast Works’ series, distilling the female form into essential shapes connecting the personal and the universal, Sanpitak has perhaps become best known for her ‘Breast Stupa’ – abstracted works that emulate the contours of the breast, merging bodily form with Buddhist architectural structures.
Evolving her exploration of sensory experience beyond visual art, Sanpitak invites chefs to create dishes inspired by her sculptures for ‘Breast Stupa Cookery’ – investigating culture, identity, and connection through taste.
