In this tutorial, we are going to show you a plugin for Grasshopper called ShapeMap that can help us map curves on a Brep or SubD. You’ll find out how to scale, rotate or apply any curve pattern on the desired geometry. This is particularly useful when mapping curves on complex fluid forms. The good thing is that it’s quite easy to use, but it’s a bit difficult to find the plugin and install it.
In the extended version of this tutorial, we’ll show you a step-by-step process on how to download and install ShapeMap as it is not available on Food for Rhino website. Currently, it’s only available on a single Chinese website, so we’ll help you to get it and try it out for yourself.
