Now, TubeMogul specializes in video advertising. Prior to it’s acquisition by adobe, it used to provide state of the art video marketing and advertising options to huge brands. See, when you have your customers anywhere in the world, TubeMogul allowed you to filter through blogs, TV channels, websites and shows which are unique to your particular niche and advertise and market accordingly.
Now, why is Adobe acquiring TubeMogul? Adobe has it’s own Marketing Cloud where you can sell your own content. Be it stock images, templates, videos or fonts. Adobe is planning to provide an ad buying platform for customers in its Marketing Cloud.|
Adobe says it will pay $14 per share, for a total acquisition price of $540 million. The addition of TubeMogul is supposed to add a strong video component to the Adobe Marketing Cloud, which already covers, search, display and social advertising (and already includes Adobe Primetime, a product for creating and monetizing video across devices).
Adobe has recently started to cross-sell and integrate its services. TubeMogul fits in with that plan. Adobe can use TubeMogul for marketing as well as its Audience Manager and Analytics clouds.
