0:15 more useful tools is your transform tool
0:17 now I use this a lot through this class
0:20 and a lot of my own work so it’s often
0:22 used as a shortcut so the long ways
0:24 under edit and this is one called free
0:26 transform tool here now I use the I’m
0:29 going to use the shortcut throughout
0:30 this course and its really good one for
0:31 you to learn as well you can see on a
0:33 Mac its command T and on a PC its
0:35 control t ok so I’m going to hit command
0:37 here my keyboard watch this because I’ve
0:39 got my grid viewed yeah ok if you have a
0:42 your grid showing got a view show and go
0:45 to guides ok and watch this because my
0:49 guides are out it’ll snap to it and say
0:51 I want it to get quite bit bigger and
0:53 I’m going to snap it out too so it spans
0:55 four columns here for this button great
0:58 so we’ll snap to the guides if it needs
1:00 to you can turn the guides off and it
1:02 won’t now a couple of other handy
1:04 modifier tools is the 10 escape escape
1:07 gets rid of our transformation and let’s
1:10 go to commanding or ctrl T on a PC and
1:14 watch this if I hold down the shift key
1:15 while I’m dragging one of these corners
1:16 can you see that the height and width is
1:19 exactly the same so if I undo that if I
1:22 don’t hold the shift key down I can move
1:24 that any old sighs I like which is handy
1:25 but also really good if you hold the
1:27 shift key down now I’ve had escaped
1:29 again let’s look at one other modifier
1:31 key so command T and is the old key so
1:34 we’re holding the Alt key down and say I
1:35 want to make this and there’s four
1:37 columns for holding the Alt key to this
1:39 one side watch what happens you can see
1:40 the opposite side comes along for the
1:42 ride and it’s the Alt key if I hold that
1:44 down while I’m stretching it out when
1:46 you’re finishing your finished
1:47 transformation and you like it hit enter
1:49 on your keyboard or return and that will
1:52 commit and then we’ll finish the
1:53 transformation you’re ready to go
1:55 now I love to share so made a few of
