Peter Hill – True Lies and Superfictions

Peter Hill investigates the use of fictional situations in contemporary art practice. His lecture/performance covers the work of Res Ingold, Guillaume Bijl, Rodney Glick, Servaas, Seymour Likely, The Museum of Jurassic Technology, Eve-Anne O’Regan, Juan Fontcuberto, Martin Kippenberger, Pope Alice, Sarah Ryan, The Triplet Twins, General Idea, Fred Wilson, Lyndell Brown and Charles Green, Rayond Rohner, Dottie Attie, and The Leeds 13. The presentation will also celebrate ten years of the fictive Museum of Contemporary Ideas on New York’s Park Avenue. Arguably the largest contemporary art space in the world, this was the first of many superfictions created by Hill.

Other works include his fictitious oil company Cameron Oil and his novel/art installation The Art Fair Murders.
