Dubai is renowned for its monumental architecture, including the world’s largest man-made islands and the world’s tallest building.
Yet while these massive and innovative architectural efforts have garnered worldwide attention, a new, quiet, and no less innovative effort to create small, highly-personalized learning environments is taking place in the world’s classrooms.
Powered by ubiquitous networking and a new generation of converged mobile communication and media devices, an emerging information architecture is asking us to reconsider the way we build classrooms — and the way we conceptualize teaching and learning.
