ColorBox by Lyft Design is an awesome and FREE design tool to help you easily make smooth gradients as well as create color palettes. The web interface is easy to understand, surprisingly powerful, and allows you to make a host of different changes to get to the colors you want! Super impressive stuff for saving time trying to lock down good colors, which can often be much more difficult that one expects at the start.
