Year 2016 in Review & Look Ahead to 2017

Lambert & Fils

MontrĂ©al, Canada, 2017-01-06 –

2016 was a year marked by change at Lambert & Fils. After moving to a bigger, better space on Saint-Laurent Boulevard, Lambert & Fils was able to welcome several new collaborators into their team, thus stimulating the birth of numerous projects, be they creative or technical.

This year’s highlight was definitely the arrival of the Laurent Collection, which was launched last May at New York City’s ICFF. Revisiting the classic shape of the white blown-glass globe, the collection of pendant lights offers a variation on minimalist surfaces and volumes, with delicate spheres shining against the rigid nature of its anchors. After a warm reception in NYC, Laurent was launched in October at the Interieur Design Biennial in Kortrijk, Belgium, where it also didn’t go unnoticed.

Throughout the year, Laurent has collected honors and recognition. Winner of a Best of Year award from Interior Design Magazine in NYC this past December (in the category Lighting : Pendant), the collection was also ranked among the 10 Best Product Designs of the Year by Azure Magazine, and even hangs inside the Instagram Headquarters in San Jose. Lambert & Fils remains very attached to the Montreal scene, so the team was thrilled to have also taken part in large-scale projects on the local front, such as with the BANQ (Bibliothèque et archives nationales du Québec), the Kampai Garden restaurant in the old Faubourg Sainte-Catherine or the offices of 1One Productions.

2017 looks just as promising as last year for Lambert & Fils! Their European ties will deepen yet again when they take part in the world-renowned Salone del Mobile in Milan, next April. Lambert & Fils is also forging partnerships with prestigious European resellers, such as The Conran Shop in London and Paris. A recent connection to Australia, in the form of a distributing deal with Living Edge, is also an exciting prospect. Back home, there are some awesome projects in the works, such as a new, shared showroom location… Which will be announced soon, so stay tuned!

The future certainly seems bright for Lambert & Fils!
