Jury members discuss the top-three winners of the Samsung Mobile Design Competition mobile accessories category in this movie Dezeen filmed at the Samsung Developer Conference in San Jose, California.
Winners include a robotic stand that turns a Samsung Galaxy device into a collaborative smart assistant, a playful design that turns Samsung Galaxy smartwatches into a children’s toy while they are charging, and a protective case with a loop that wraps around the wrist to prevent users from dropping their devices.
The top five designs and the overall winners in each category were selected by a jury including designers Stefan Scholten and Paul Austin, as well as executives from Samsung’s IT and mobile communications division and Dezeen’s editor-at-large Amy Frearson.
