Who is your fashion hero? | FASHION AS DESIGN

Wearing certain garments can inspire heroic transformations, while heroes can elevate everyday clothing to iconic status. This week, we will look at the relationship between aspiration, achievement, adulation, and attire through a wide range of heroes.

Uncover the unique design of a BRUCE LEE TRACKSUIT

We want to hear from you! What do your heroes wear? Do their clothes and accessories contribute to their heroic status, and if so, how? Have you ever incorporated elements of their style into what you wear?

FASHION AS DESIGN is a new course by MoMA that explores a selection of garments from around the world—ranging from Kente cloth to jeans to 3D-printed dresses. Each week will begin with a conversation between the course instructors—Paola Antonelli, Michelle Fisher, and Stephanie Kramer—that introduces the themes, items, and questions that we will explore.
