Chris Murray is the Director of Core Cities UK. He has worked previously in a number of cities in the UK and abroad on a wide range of urban issues. He is a visiting Professor of Practice at Newcastle University, an Honorary Fellow of the Heseltine Institute at Liverpool University, and sits on the Advisory Board of the Prime Minister’s Regeneration Investment Organisation. Earlier in his career Chris also worked in education, community work and as a psychiatric social worker. Chris holds qualifications in art and design, teaching, business and marketing and European cultural planning. He has published and contributed to a number of books about cities
