This 90s Townhouse Was Updated With a Warm Minimalist Interior

Bo Chu, Director of architecture practice Pitch AD, found a townhouse in Fitzroy after missing the hustle and bustle of city life after living in a leafy outer suburb. Although there were some challenges with the layout, Bo knew he could transform the interior through a carefully considered renovation.

Wanting to avoid any external works, Bo focused his attention on the interior design of the townhouse. The existing layout was radically modified to allow more sunlight, flow and function, and re-jigged to enable a compact ensuite added to the main bedroom. In addition, soft timber was used throughout as wall panelling and for joinery, bringing a touch of warm minimalism to the interior.
