This year DuPont wants to put some spice in your life and stimulate your senses by introducing five NEW colors inspired by the rich hues and intriguing textures of spices. Introducing Coarse Pepper, Caraway, Poppy Seed, Chicory and Sage. Three of these colors are characterized by their fine grain texture adding distinction to any traditional or contemporary interior while the remaining two sprinkle movement with a natural grace in any environment.

With the exception of four colors (OKITE® collection), DuPont has manufactured Zodiaq® quartz surfaces in Thetford Mines, QC since 1998, creating jobs that support our local economy as well as reducing our carbon footprint through local sourcing. Available in 48 colors in both 2cm and 3cm thicknesses, Zodiaq® is comprised of 93% pure quartz crystals. 80% of the quartz comes from La Malbaie, QC, while 18% is sourced from Fermont, QC. The only exception is the quartz required to produce our two white colors that is imported from Europe. 

After a process of extensive market research, DuPont recently invested significantly to upgrade their manufacturing process in order to produce a wide slab dimension that increases fabrication yield; reduces residual waste material and ultimately reduces the installed cost. DuPont is proud to announce that its entire production capacity is dedicated to manufacturing wide slabs in a 63″x120″ size format with the goal of “One slab, one job”. 

DuPont is committed to environmental stewardship and introduced their “Terra” collection several years ago. This portfolio comprises eight colors containing 25% post-consumer consumption materials and can contribute points for any LEED Green Building Rating System® project. 

Zodiaq is non-porous and, unlike natural stone, does not require any sealants or waxes to prevent staining. It is NSF51 approved for food safety as well as GREENGUARD certified for indoor air quality and carries a Class 1 (Class A) fire rating. 

Zodiaq is distributed by Scodesign Distribution Inc., a distributor of premium surfaces, architectural millwork products, decorative hardware and kitchen & bath products.
