Making a background in Illustrator of this style is easier than you may think. In todays Illustrator tutorial, I walk you through step by step, on how to make a vector background, that utilises various techniques in Illustrator, to result in a truly visually appealing background design.
There are a few tricks along the way, that will really help your background ‘pop’ and stand out for all of the right reasons. We also are going to be adding drop shadows, gradient, and masks to our vector background, all using Adobe Illustrator.
The background in todays design tutorial, is optimised for web based graphics, so it will look best on screens such as phones and desktops. For this reason, we design the background with an RGB document in Adobe Illustrator, to ensure the colours and effects look best for the final vector background design.
