Adam Semel, AIA, is a Managing Partner at Skidmore, Owings & Merrill, delivering complex projects spanning commercial, residential, cultural, education, interior design, and urban design at all scales. He focuses on providing inspirational, innovative design solutions that not only exceed his clients’ objectives, but also create healthy environments for live, work, learn and play. Adam strives to foster a collaborative creative process that contributes to a more positive, sustainable, and inclusive built environment. His portfolio includes projects in Chicago, across the United States, and overseas.
Douglas Voigt, AIA, AICP, is Urban Design and Planning Partner at Skidmore, Owings & Merrill, focusing on complex urban plans and architectural projects working closely with city leaders, institutions, and developers across the globe. He is interested in the capacity of design to build community and connect people. Doug believes that every urban plan explores the social and natural systems within our larger urban ecology. He is committed to the research and synthesis of ideas that transcend best practices, balancing conceptual thinking with a realistic, hands-on approach.
