Shuji Terayama | TateShots

Japanese artist Shuji Terayama’s works range in media from radio drama, experimental television, underground (Angura) theatre and countercultural critique to Japanese New Wave and expanded cinema.

This film captures highlights of the first re-enactment in 27 years of ‘Laura’ at Tate Modern, in which Shuji Terayama’s original collaborator Henrikku Morisaki walks into the screen of the film itself, blurring the line between cinema and live performance.
