Sarah Whiting – Looking Good

Lecture date: 2006-01-18

This lecture looks at looking. Sarah Whiting reconsiders architecture’s formalist legacy in an effort to situate that discussion within our contemporary public sphere. How do we evaluate, judge, talk about, and advance architecture? Who’s looking our way and how? Who are we looking for and why?

Sarah Whiting is a partner in WW, based in Princeton, where she is an Assistant Professor at Princeton School of Architecture. Her work focuses on the intersection between space, form and the subject (individual as well as collective), particularly in the context of twentieth-century modernism.
