Royal Gold Medal 2015 Presentation

The Irish architects Sheila O’Donnell and John Tuomey, best known in Britain for their Saw Swee Hock Student Centre for LSE and in Ireland for their Glucksman Gallery for University College Cork, were presented with the Royal Gold Medal for Architecture by RIBA President Stephen Hodder on behalf of the Queen at a ceremony held at the RIBA in February. The citation was read by last year’s winner Joseph Rykwert and by the architect who nominated them, Niall McLaughlin.
