Current Work is a lecture series featuring leading figures in the worlds of architecture, urbanism, design, and art.
Founded in New York in 1999, heneghan peng relocated to Dublin, Ireland in 2001. Its work spans a variety of scales and typologies, from urban master plans and major cultural facilities to offices and bridges.
The firm rose to international prominence in 2003, when its design for the Grand Egyptian Museum was selected from over 1,500 competition entries.
For her Current Work lecture in January 2018, cofounder Róisín Heneghan discussed projects including: The Palestinian Museum, Birzeit, Palestine; The Canadian Canoe Museum, Peterborough, Canada; and Giant’s Causeway Visitors Centre, Antrim, Northern Ireland.
The lecture was followed by a conversation with Stephen Rustow, a principal of museoplan and professor at the Irwin S. Chanin School of Architecture.
