Selected from a list of 25, Felicity Meares is one of nine emerging architects making up this year’s RIBAJ Rising Star cohort, in collaboration with Origin.
The creator of the UK’s largest glass sports floor, Felicity is an energetic architecture advocate, already reaching out to the next generation. She is an active contributor to the Future Architects Forum about digitisation. Her experience on St George’s Activity Centre has led to invitations to speak on timber, the role of sports facilities and the importance of improving access to physical activities. As a keen sportswoman and former Team GB member, Meares is a convincing ambassador for sports architecture.
In this video, Felicity talks about her work and her interests in architecture. Find out more about Felicity here: https://www.ribaj.com/intelligence/rising-stars-2019-awards-winners-felicity-meares-scott-brownrigg
