Richard Murphy founded his practice in 1991. Its early reputation was built on highly crafted and innovative domestic work in the Edinburgh area.
The practice has since won an unprecedented 21 RIBA Awards, and has considerable experience in the Arts, Education, Housing, Health, Public and Community use and Masterplanning.
In 2016 Murphy’s own house, ‘a quarter Soane, a quarter Scarpa, a quarter eco-house and a quarter Wallace and Gromit’, was awarded the RIBA House of the Year.
In this talk Murphy will describe the series of accidents that resulted in a life in architecture.
In partnership with the Bristol & Bath branch of the RIBA.
