RIBA for Clients – Sport and Leisure

Clients range from major private owner-occupiers such as premiership football clubs all the way down to community cricket clubs where the people involved are likely a committee of volunteers dependent on public funding. From time to time there are high profile large scale projects such as the 2012 London Olympics that are publicly funded.

Through a structured programme of roundtables and one to one interviews, the RIBA has been gathering and sharing feedback from clients as to how architects can improve their services.

We have fed back to the profession through a series of articles in RIBA Journal and have completed more than 70 one-to-one filmed interviews with clients, which have been published on https://www.architecture.com/RIBA/Professionalsupport/RIBAforclients/RIBAforclients.aspx The findings were summarised in a special report Client and Architect: developing the essential relationship which was launched in September 2015 by Past President Stephen Hodder MBE.
