RIBA for Clients – Retrofit



Although the market has yet to ignite, the business case for clients to invest in retrofit is growing. As time passes and pressure to meet the GHG target mounts, this could explode, opening the door to lucrative work for architects who know how to retrofit.

Through a structured programme of roundtables and one to one interviews, the RIBA has been gathering and sharing feedback from clients as to how architects can improve their services.

We have fed back to the profession through a series of articles in RIBA Journal and have completed more than 70 one-to-one filmed interviews with clients, which have been published on https://www.architecture.com/RIBA/Professionalsupport/RIBAforclients/RIBAforclients.aspx The findings were summarised in a special report Client and Architect: developing the essential relationship which was launched in September 2015 by Past President Stephen Hodder MBE.
